Science Projects Due Next Wednesday!
Don't forget that GEM PROJECTS are due soon. MARCH 14th!
Due Wednesday, March 14th
As we have learned in class the Earth is full of rocks and minerals! Some of those minerals are special - they are called gems. There are special gems called birthstones and they are paired with the months of the year. Birthstones are thought to bring good luck to those born in that month. Now it is time to learn more about your birthstone!
TASK: Research your birthstone and create a detailed poster
(size = ¼ – ½ poster board so that all can be displayed – NO FULL POSTER BOARDS)
with the information you have discovered. Upon completion you will present your poster project to your classmates.
**Note** If your birthday is in June you should research the Alexandrite which is another gem since the Pearl is not considered a mineral.
