We will begin our State Symbol Project. Please keep watch for an e-mail each student will receive that will have all the details.
Official symbols represent the cultural heritage & natural treasures of each state or the entire USA. States also recognize icons & emblems like state flags & seals, and every city & town has unique places: landmarks, historic buildings, national, state, & local parks; & historic markers.
Take a some time to record two facts written in complete sentences about each North Carolina State Symbol. You will be given time in school this week to work on your project. However, most likely in order to finish your project by the due date, you will need to work on your project at home as well. Next week we will move on to another subject. Your work is due Tuesday, October 2nd! There will be a test on this day as well.
