This Week in Math. . .
This week we will visit place value. Although the Investigations Curriculum does not cover this aspect of math, I believe it is of the utmost importance since our entire math number system is based on "base 10". We will learn about the value of a number depending on where it is placed within the digits. We will also explore the variety of ways to express numbers and will end the week with a project based on place value.
We will have our bi-weekly homework quiz on Friday as well as our 5x's tables quiz.
